The Wonders of Cenotes!

What can harm this creature or plant? Are we worried about it?:

Man-made destruction (for example, blowing up a cenote in order to make room for a new shopping mall) is one thing that could certainly harm Cenotes. Littering is another act that can greatly harm the pristine natural oasis of Cenotes and the precious balance that it maintains. There are all kinds of animals that drink water from Cenotes to survive, therefore keeping Cenotes healthy and litter-free is vital. That said, in order to ensure that these Cenotes, and its inhabitants, remain in tip-top condition, the government of Mexico declared Cenotes as historical landmarks that cannot be purposefully destroyed and must be kept-up (protected and cleaned) by park rangers and other figures hired to guard them. Moreover, visitors to the Cenotes are encouraged to pick up any litter found while exploring Cenotes and are prevented from bringing any food or drinks to these landmarks in order to help prevent littering.
