My Friend Albert

How do you get around?:

I drive to work and I take road trips to around Mexico. I drive everywhere!

What types of clothing do you like to wear?:

I really like to wear comfortable clothes. It is very, very hot here so on my days off I wear shorts and a T-shirt. When I go to work I have to wear more professional clothing because of the type of job I do. I help people with hearing loss and I need to put on a gown like doctors wear. Usually my clothes are comfortable and I also wear jeans.

What do you like to do in your free time?:

On my days off, I do different activities. I have two days off a week. One of those days I use to travel to my grandmother's house (45 minutes from the city). She lives in a town called Motul. I like to go and eat with her, and when I return I give language classes to children who have trouble speaking. I like to exercise, go to the movies, go out with friends to have dinner and to dance.

What language(s) do you speak? How do you say "Hello" in your language?:

I speak Spanish, and a little English, I also learned a few words from the Mayan language because my grandparents speak Maya. One phrase we say a lot in the Yucatán is "Qué onda!" which simply means "Hey!" or "What's up!"

Do you have pets?:

No, I do not have any pets but I love dogs!

Have you traveled? Where have you traveled to?:

I have travelled many parts of Mexico I love getting to know the culture of other states, the food and its people. The city where I live is flat because we live by the sea. I like to travel to other cities that have mountains and hills!
