Living in Italy has shown me just how connected our world really is. In many ways, young Italians and young Americans care about the same things: music, friendships, self-expression and the future. But the way they express those things is shaped by their own history, language and culture. Experiencing this firsthand has given me a deeper appreciation for both the differences and the similarities between our two countries.
