When I walked up to the front desk to move into my student housing at 11 a.m., I met a boy named Jose who was also studying at my school, Lorenzo de Medici. He is from Wisconsin, but goes to school in Hawaii! He asked me, once we dropped our bags off, if I wanted to explore the city with him. I, of course, said yes, as he was the first person I'd met! While I was waiting in the lobby, Jose met two other students, named Zack and Adina. Both Zack and Adina are from New York; Zack goes to Canisius University and Adina goes to University of Georgia. While we explored the city for the first time, we started to get hungry, so we stopped into this pizza bistro called Malborghetto, and it was the best first meal!
I got the prosciutto e funghi (proscuitto and mushroom) pizza. While I have consumed quite the surplus of pizza in my lifetime, I'd never had a pizza with real fresh mozzarella, proscuitto, and mushrooms! I was super intruiged when I saw it on the menu because, not only was it the perfect size (20 cm), it was only five euros, which is about $6 USD.
