People speak English here as it is the national language, especially in school and at work. I also hear local languages like Nyanja and Bemba in everyday conversations.

The money used here is called the Zambian kwacha. The bills range from 10, 20, 50, 100, 200 to 500.

How much does a bottle of water cost?:

A bottle of water costs a few kwacha. It is not very expensive.The price can change depending on where you buy it, but it is generally affordable and easy to find.

What was the best meal this week?:

The best meal I had was nshima with vegetables and chicken. It was simple but very filling and tasty.

What music did I listen to this week?:

I listened to some of my favorite songs that remind me of home and also heard local Zambian music. It was fun to hear new songs that I could sing with my friends here! The music often has strong rhythms and is played in shops or on the street, so I hear it even when I am not trying to.

What activity was the most fun this week?:

The most fun activity was walking around and exploring new areas. Even simple walks feel interesting because there is always something new to notice, like different buildings, people or small details.
