Our News

Many meals are served with rice, but not these. These speak for themselves.

What music did I listen to this week?:

Along with my regular Spotify playlists and liked songs, I've been getting back into listening to piano pieces since I miss practicing so much. I have been enjoying a lot of Chopin, Ravel and Rachmaninoff. I found tickets to a concert in March where they will be playing Rachmaninoff's 2nd Concerto. I'm super excited!

What activity was the most fun this week?:

I loved getting to spend time studying, playing cards and getting dinner with my friends! I've met a ton of great people at school so far. It's especially easy to make friends with other exchange students, since we're all in a common situation. On top of that, there is a huge exchange student body here at NUS. The local students I've met are super friendly and accomodating as well.

What did I read this week?:

Unfortunately, most of my reading this week was lecture slides for my classes. When school starts up, there's not always a ton of time to fit reading for pleasure into my day. However, I did recently finish the first Hunger Games book, and am looking forward to starting the second one!

What games or sports did I play this week?:

I played some soccer this week with some other NUS (National University of Singapore) students. Although my schedule doesn't allow for me to join the intramural team, I still love to play when I can.

Other news from this week:

Classes are heating up! The first few weeks of the semester did not prepare me for how much homework I would have.
