Traveler Bio

Hello everyone, and welcome! My name is Ezra Heinberg, and I’m a student from the United States currently studying abroad in Singapore. I'm from Wilmington, a town on the coast of North Carolina, where I was born and raised. I greatly enjoy spending time with my two younger sisters, biking around, playing piano, and going to the beach, among a long list of other activities. I currently attend university at UNC Chapel Hill, where I study computer science and music, two subjects that shape how I think about the world in very different ways.

I grew up loving music, asking many questions, and figuring out how things work by observation. Studying abroad has given me the chance to step outside of what’s familiar and observe how daily life works in another part of the world. Singapore is a place where a ton of different cultures, languages, and traditions come together, and I’m learning something new just by paying attention to everyday moments, like watching how people get from place to place, what they eat, and how they interact (or don't interact) with each other.

While I’m here, I’ll be sharing what it’s like to live and study at the National University of Singapore, as well as travel around the greater area. I’m excited to learn together and to share this journey with you throughout the year!
