Our News

I specifically miss my dad's cooking, which includes a Central American touch. It can be difficult to recreate dishes from home. Grocery stores do not offer much variety for foreign ingredients, which can also be more expensive.

This is why I was delighted to be invited to breakfast at my friend Ariela's house, where she cooked huevos rancheros; complete with homemade salsa and black beans recently brought to her by her mother from the US. She also made hot cocoa with chocolate from Ecuador!

What music did I listen to this week?:

I have been listening to a lot of latin music as of late. From The Marias to Rosalia to Young Miko, my headphones have been completely taken over. Bad Bunny was my most listened to artist last year, and, as of writing this, his most recent album has just earned top album of 2025. I look forward to seeing his performance in the superbowl, and I absolutely cannot wait to see him in Marseille in July!

What activity was the most fun this week?:

The students in the second year of my master's program held a forum for work psychology, where we had the chance to chat with a variety of professionals. This was super interesting, as we got to learn what some real-world applications of our studies could look like! I love participating in events like this to learn more about my field while also getting to know the other students better, outside of class.

I was also recently a part of a soirée [swah-ray] -- evening party -- for bachelor's students, where members of our master's programme talked with prospective students.
