I mainly traveled with my electric bicycle, or e-bike. Biking is one of the most common ways to get around Aarhus, and the city has dedicated bike lanes on many streets. My e-bike makes it much easier to get up the hills around Aarhus, especially on my way to work!
I visited the historic Ole Rømer Observatory in Aarhus. The observatory opened in 1911 and is named after Ole Rømer, a Danish astronomer who made important discoveries about the speed of light.
Unfortunately, the sky was cloudy during our visit, so we couldn't observe many stars through the telescope. However, we learned about the history of astronomy in Denmark and how astronomers identify different stars and constellations. It was interesting to visit a place that has been used to study the night sky for over a century.
I'm currently planning a trip to Stockholm, Sweden, around Thanksgiving! I'm excited to explore another Scandinavian capital and see how Swedish culture compares with what I've experienced in Denmark. I'm particularly interested in comparing the food and language and exploring the holiday markets.
