Hello! My name is Eleanor, but everybody calls me Nora. I will be 24 years old in November 2025, and I was born in the U.S capital, Washington D.C. When I was little, I bounced around the corners of the country like a pinball- Maine, Florida, and finally Washington state (which I always think of as the "other" Washington). I did most of my growing up on Bainbridge island, and my favorite part of living there was being part of my high school robotics team, the Spartronics! After high school, I traveled north to Bellingham to study Spanish and education. I taught in the Ferndale and Bellingham school districts, but I'm not only a teacher. I've been a blacksmith, a baker, a cartoonist, and a comedian (to name just a few).
I consider myself an explorer and an artist. I am thrilled to add a new title to list: Fulbright English Teaching Assistant. Starting in late September, I will be moving to Ecuador to help teach English at Universidad Central del Ecuador in Quito. Quito is the capital of Ecuador, and the university I'll be working at is the oldest and biggest in the country! When I'm not at UCdE, I'll be learning from the people and places around me. I can't wait to explore the rainforest, volcanoes, lakes, food and markets... there is so much to take in! I'm excited to bring you all on this adventure, and I hope to hear all about yours, too! For now, hasta luego (see you later)!
