It feels like the time we spent together was very short and passed by very quickly. I’m glad I was able to share a bit of my experience studying abroad in Japan with you all, and I hope it inspires some of you to study abroad or travel in the future. I really enjoyed our virtual exchange and it made me happy to hear that so many of you had questions for me.
I have been in Japan for two months now, and I feel blessed to be able to have this experience. Sometimes, it still doesn’t feel real that I am on the other side of the world. Being here in Japan almost feels like my real life is on pause. Although there are many things I miss from back home in LA, I’m glad that I still have some more time left here since I will be in Japan until somewhere around the middle of August. My classes here in Japan do not end until the middle of July, which is very late compared to your school schedule in the US.
If you end up going to university, I really recommend looking into study abroad programs. I was only able to do one semester, but it is possible to study abroad for up to a year. I know some of you may worry about not being able to afford studying abroad.
