Interview with Anna

Introduction:

For this interview, I talked with Anna, a 15-year-old student who lives in Germany. She shared what her daily life is like, what school is like for her and what she enjoys doing.

What do you eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner?:

For breakfast I sometimes eat Milchreis or Grießbrei. On weekends we make waffles or banana bread. In Germany many people care about organic or “bio” food, and my family also buys a lot of organic products from the supermarket. For lunch I usually eat pasta or rice. For dinner we often eat sausage, soup or bread with cheese and deli meat. Sometimes we also have pasta again.

What is your house like?:

My house has an open living room and kitchen. We have three bedrooms and two bathrooms. There are many big windows so it is very bright and friendly.

What chores do you have at home?:

I do not have many chores. I clean my room and sometimes I help my parents cook dinner.

What jobs do your parents have?:

My mother is a pilot for Lufthansa and my father owns a local ice cream shop.

What time does school start, and what time do you go home?:

School starts at 7:55 in the morning. On long days it ends at 3:05, and on short days it ends at 12:50. We have three long days and two short days every week.
