Since I’ve been in Bilbao, I’ve met many locals and even made some close friends that I spend time with regularly. One of my closest friends here is Izas. We met in a language exchange class where we practiced both Spanish and English together. Now, we spend a lot of time together outside the classroom too!
My full name is Izaskun Martin Costillas, but people usually call me Izas.
I live in Basauri, about 20 minutes away from Bilbao. My house is what we call a piso. It is a small flat, or apartment, with two bedrooms, one bathroom, living room, kitchen and a balcony, located in the center of Basauri.
I don't have much family here, but I do live with my parents. I am an only child, and I would say that I am pretty close with my parents. Our family is also not so big, but I have some relatives in Toro, Zamora about 5 hours away by bus.
It isn't very big here, so walking or metro is how I usually get around.
