Hola everyone! I still can't believe I only have a few weeks left here. Looking back, it’s hard to believe how much this experience has changed me. Stepping out of my comfort zone taught me more about myself than I ever expected. I've grown more confident and independent, and my Spanish skills have improved significantly. Throughout this journey, I’ve met incredible people, including new classmates from the United States, locals here in Bilbao and even strangers from different countries who I have met during my travels.

Choosing to study in the Basque Country made this experience even more special. It's a region with a unique identity that many people outside Spain don't know much about, and living here has been incredibly fulfilling. The Basque people are some of the warmest and most welcoming I've ever met, from my host mom to my teachers and friends to the countless kind strangers I've encountered daily. Their pride in their culture is inspiring, and I'm so happy to be able to share a piece of that with you all!

I’m also glad that I made the effort to get to know the culture here. By taking a gastronomy class, getting to know locals and learning the languages spoken in the Basque Country, I was able to connect with such a beautiful and rich culture on a much deeper level.
