Moving to Finland not only exposed me to Finnish culture, but it also gave me the privilege and opportunity to better understand 15 different countries through the eyes of my international classmates!

What is perspective? Imagine that you are looking out at a valley from the top of a mountain - the trees and paths below will seem small, maybe quaint or even insignificant and easy to miss. Now, imagine someone standing on the path in the valley. The path is suddenly the biggest and most important thing in their view. The mountains seem tall and far away, almost ethereal, and to them, the mountains are the unreachable or less important part of their journey.

You do not have to travel to another country to appreciate the perspective of another person or to analyze your own perspective. We all see the world from different points of view; different childhoods, different hometowns, different likes and different beliefs. Recognizing the perspective of another person doesn't mean your perspective is wrong, or theirs is right.
