Nature News

I've also seen a few cats, plenty of pigeons and heard other birds chirping throughout the city. One thing that surprised me about Prague is how many dogs I see walking around without leashes. In busier streets and public squares, they're sometimes on leashes, but I've encountered plenty of dogs wandering alongside their owners. Occasionally, one will casually approach you for a few pets and a good sniff before moseying along as if you were old friends.

I've also noticed that as autumn settles into Prague, the sounds of birds have changed. When I first arrived, I could hear them chirping in the mornings and evenings. Now those sounds have almost disappeared, although I still hear some birds during the afternoons.

What was the coolest thing I saw in nature this week?:

The coolest thing I saw in nature this week was the way fog rolled into Prague in the mornings. It doesn't just float overhead. It seems to settle just above the doorways and drift through the streets, almost like it is weaving itself into the city.
What makes it even more striking is how the fog hangs around the older Gothic-style buildings. It creates a sharp contrast between Prague's historic architecture and the newer buildings nearby. The whole city can look mysterious and almost storybook-like.
One of the most interesting parts is the silence. The fog seems to muffle the usual morning sounds, so everything feels quieter and softer unless you stop and listen closely. It gives the city a completely different personality first thing in the morning.
