On Tuesday morning, we held a ceremony for all of the Fulbright teachers to send us off to our placements. While it only snowed twice during the six weeks of our orientation, it happened to snow so much that day that our flight to Jeju was canceled! We got another flight for three hours later and didn't get to my apartment until after 10:00 p.m.
I saw a very cute dog at the airport! Seeing the dog wiped away all of the stress from travel.
On my first day at work, the principal drove me to my new school. I could see the ocean and a small island out the window of her car and she told me that it is called "Beom Island." She says that "Beom" means "tiger." Tigers are very culturally important in South Korea, which is why there was a tiger in K-Pop Demon Hunters!
