The weather this week was perfect! We were prepared for the cold with ski and snowboarding clothes, including layers, gloves and scarfs. In fact, we rarely felt cold and felt sweaty instead... only sometimes though.
We saw deer and an Akira (a type of dog breed) who lived in the lodge with the owners. We saw some animal prints I would like to assume were fox prints, but I am unsure. Maybe they were Yeti footprints!
The coolest thing I saw in nature this week was the mountain ranges and dense forests. I never imagined a place like Hakuba existed, and that there are places like it in the world which I have yet to see!
Another cool thing about being in Hakuba was hearing the snow fall from the roof. So much snow fell that it would make a rumbling noise throughout the day and night. I found it interesting since I never heard snow do that before.
