She mostly uses Portuguese in her daily life, but she enjoys practicing English whenever she can, especially with me.
Ana has a cat named Francisca.
Ana has traveled to many places, both around Brazil and abroad. One of her favorite destinations is New York. She’s been there a few times and absolutely loves it. She especially likes going to see Broadway shows when she's there.
Ana is retired now, but she used to work as an advogada (a lawyer). Even though she’s no longer practicing, you can still see that sharp, thoughtful side of her whenever she’s discussing current events or giving advice.
Ana says she feels very optimistic about the future generations. She believes young people today are more open-minded, curious and aware of the world around them. Her message to students in the United States is to keep that spirit alive, travel, learn languages and connect with people from different places.
