The main languages spoken are Italian and English. Italian is the native and national language. English is taught in all schools!

What type of money is used here?:

In Rome and the rest of Italy, people use euros, which is the denomination used in all countries in the European Union.

How much does a bottle of water cost?:

A bottle of water costs around .61€,  the equivalent of 75 cents. How does this compare to a bottle of water in the United States?

What was the best meal this week?:

My favorite meal was carbonara pasta. This dish is made with only a few ingredients, including pecorino cheese, egg yolks, pancetta (which is similar to bacon) and pasta. It is a traditional Roman specialty and only takes a few minutes to make!

What music did I listen to this week?:

To get in the Italian mood, I listened to a couple of my favorite Italian singers on repeat: Raffaella Cara and Mina. They have really funny old music videos with some dances that my friends and I tried to learn.

What activity was the most fun this week?:

My favorite activity was walking along the cobblestone streets built thousands of years ago. I loved just exploring the city on foot and discovering a new style of architecture with every turn.
