International organizations like the United Nations and local non-profits, including Catholic charities, provide food, clothing, and social support. Their efforts are important, but the number of people who need help is bigger than what these groups can provide. As a result, many migrants still go without the essentials they need, even though many community members do their best to help.
One local group that makes a difference is called the Cigognes, which is run by the local Catholic church. They provide food and clothing to people in need. By volunteering with the Cigognes, I have learned more about what migrants face every day. Because of this experience, I have started thinking about simple ways technology could help, such as sharing information more easily and connecting doctors with migrants and refugees through smartphones.
Even with all these efforts, there is still a long way to go. Migrants and refugees in Morocco need safety, health care, food, and supportive communities. The work people are doing matters, and every act of kindness helps, but more help is still needed.
