What an amazing experience this has been! Thank you for joining me along my journey of learning and discovery. I hope you have found it as rewarding as I have!
As I prepare my belongings for the return journey to the United States, I cannot help but reflect upon all the remarkable things I have learned during my time in Morocco. This journey has transformed me in ways I never expected. Thus, I want to share some of the most important lessons with you.
Before I talk about my adventures, however, I would like to say some important 'thank yous'. First, I want to thank Roots Academy, my language school in Morocco. They did not simply teach me Arabic. Rather, they opened up an entirely new world through language learning. Just imagine being able to communicate with people in their native language to understand their culture and experiences! Second, I am extremely grateful to my Moroccan friends and all the people I met here. They welcomed me into their lives with such amazing kindness and generosity that I felt like family, despite being thousands of miles from my family at home. Most importantly, I want to thank the Fulbright program that made this incredible opportunity possible.
