During my trip to Portugal, I got very lucky with bright, sunny skies and warm weather around 75°F-80°F! In Galicia, Spain, it was very chilly and windy, with highs of 64°F and lows reaching 41°F. Meanwhile, back in my host city of Madrid, it has been super rainy, with cooler temperatures ranging between 50°F-70°F.
While exploring Portugal, I saw lots of stray cats roaming the colorful streets and tons of pigeons flying around the city squares. Back in Madrid, I always notice so many people walking their pet dogs especially adorable dachshunds (sausage dogs)!
The coolest nature moment happened at El Retiro Park in Madrid on a day when it was sunny and raining at the exact same time! The bright sunlight shone right through the falling raindrops and tree leaves, making the park look magical. I also loved seeing the beautiful ocean waves at Razo Beach in Galicia, Spain.
