The fact that recycling is important is evident all over the city when you see the many specific bins that different materials can be recycled in.
I have also joined in some other local activities, like watching local children play a football match. Football in Belgium, however, is not the same as the football in the U.S. Football in Europe is the same thing as our soccer!
I still have a lot of other places to visit, sights to see and things to learn in Belgium, but so far, it hasn't been difficult getting used to being in such a beautiful country. Exploring and learning about what makes Belgian culture unique has been a great way to feel like I belong.
