I traveled over 200 miles this week from my journey to and from London as well as my visit to Cardiff, Wales.
I have traveled close to 5,000 miles since my journey to the U.K. began September 1st.
I mostly got around by walking and taking the bus this week. I use the mobile app First Bus, which qualifies me for a student discount at £2.25 per ride.
The most interesting place I visited this week was Hyde Park in London. It reminded me a lot of Central Park in New York but seemed bigger in size. The trees were lovely shades of orange and yellow, and city workers were constructing the Winter Wonderland market that's due to hit London very soon. Hyde Park is located within walking distance from the Mable Arch station.
Whenever I want to visit London, I find taking a Flix Bus from the Bristol Coach bus station to be the most economical option. A one way ticket averages about £5 to £10, depending on how far in advance you book and round trip typically doesn't exceed £15.
