I read a chapter from The Love Songs of W.E.B. Du Bois by Honoree Fanonne Jeffers, which follows the stories of a young Black girl named Ailey who learns more about her Black, Indigenous and white ancestry in the Deep South.
I played two truths and a lie with my classmates as an ice breaker activity.
