Farewell for Now!

  • Serving as a Postgraduate Taught Representative for my Anthropology course and as a Faculty of Arts School representative, where I share student feedback with faculty and advocate for improvements in the student experience.
  • Working as a Feedback Engagement Fellow with the University of Bristol's Student Union and the Bristol Institute for Learning and Teaching to improve how students receive and understand feedback on their assignments.
  • Earning a First or Distinction on four of my five assignments during the first teaching block of my graduate degree.
  • Collaborating with Bristol Old Vic to study how arts programming affects students in Years 7-9 in local Bristol schools as part of my work placement course.
  • Volunteering with a college admissions counselor to help establish ASAN-UK, a network designed to support American students studying at universities in the United Kingdom.
  • Applying for a PhD in Interdisciplinary Resilience Studies at the University of Southampton to study resilience among migrant entrepreneurs in coastal cities in the U.K., and advancing to the interview stage.
  • Speaking on a virtual panel with Fulbright Scholars from Queen's University Belfast and Durham University to share my experience with fellowship advisers from the National Association of Fellowship Advisors.
  • Submitting my dissertation proposal titled From Roots to Rights: An Ethnography of Race, Identity, and Power in a Black-Owned Hair Salon.

As I continue the second half of my Fulbright journey, I carry deep gratitude for everyone who helped make this experience possible.
