Unfortunately, I didn’t get the chance to hear this new kind of music this weekend! My hotel was located in the city center of Bergen, and I mainly heard electronic and pop music from my room.

What activity was the most fun this week?:

The boat tour through the fjords was by far my favorite part of this weekend. We cruised through Aurlandsfjord and Nærøyfjord, which is one of the narrowest fjords in Europe. The views were unbeatable!

What did I read this week?:

I have three midterm philosophy essays due this week, so I spent the weekend reading a lot of philosophy. I read papers by Edmund Burke and David Hume, and I learned about the qualities that make things beautiful, as well as whether or not people have free will.

What games or sports did I play this week?:

While I didn’t get the chance to play any games or sports this weekend, I did enjoy hiking in Bergen. After Anisha and I took the funicular up to Mount Fløyen, we walked around the top of the mountain and found the lake of ducks. After that, we hiked down the mountain and took in the beautiful views of the city.

Other news from this week:

Since Norway is so far north, there isn’t much daylight in Bergen in the fall and winter. This weekend, the sun didn’t rise until about 8:30 A.M., and the sun set by about six P.M..
