Hi friends,

I can’t believe it’s already May. When I first arrived in Copenhagen, it was the middle of winter and the coldest time of the season. The days were short, the trees were bare, and everything felt quiet and still. Now the sun is finally beginning to shine, flowers are blooming, and the whole city has come to life. I feel like I finally understand why people love Copenhagen so much. We made it through the toughest, darkest months, and now we get to enjoy the reward of spring. The landscape has changed from brown to green, and in some ways I think I’ve changed too.

I feel incredibly grateful for the opportunity to study abroad. It has been such a meaningful experience filled with learning, growth, and memories I will carry with me for a long time.

Of course, I’ve learned more about psychology in my classes, but I have also learned so much outside of them. I have gotten to know Denmark and the people I have been living with in my kollegium (student housing). I’m really going to miss the little everyday moments like cooking and sharing meals in our communal kitchen, having movie nights, playing board games together, and sharing this experience together.
