Introducing my host sister Si-yeon!

After school, I will go to a study room or to my academy to get extra lessons. I will usually get home arount 6 or 7pm.

How do you get to school? Are you allowed to go to school by yourself?:

My dad drives me and my brothers and Kristy to school in the morning by car. I could walk by myself, but because my brothers are so young, we drive.

Where do you eat lunch? What is your favorite food?:

Everyone eats school lunches. I really like Jjajangmyeon (noodles in black bean sauce). It is my favorite thing to eat for lunch or dinner.

What language do you speak at school? How do you say "Hello" in your language?:

I speak Korean. I am learning English at school. 안녕하새요 annyeonghasayyo [an-nyeong-ha-say-yo] is hello but if you are friends with someone or if they are younger than you, you can just say 안녕 annyeong [an-nyeong]. It's like saying hi.

What are some common kids' names at your school?:

Si-yeon is pretty common for a girl. So is Eunbin and Seoul-bi. For boys Min-june and Jae-bin are popular.

What subjects do you study in school, and which one is your favorite?:

I study math, Korean, science, history, English, music and PE. My favorite classes are English and PE.

What is your homework like?:

Because I'm still in elementary school, I don't have too much homework. Just one or two assignments for each subject. My teachers at my after-school academy give me a lot more homework.
