Festive Times In Mongolia

Is this tradition connected to its environment? How?:

As mentioned above, these traditions are a direct reflection of the nomadic past. Tsaagan sar represents making it through the hardest parts of the year and honors the community that helps support you. Many of the traditions are directly tied to honoring the community, from formally greeting one another to inviting the community into your home to share a meal, Tsaagan sar is truly a way for people to connect and celebrate.

Naadam is also reflective of the nomadic history of Mongolia. The sports that are played come directly from what would be necessary skills for Mongolians to have. From herding to warfare, having the endurance to ride a horse is important. This also goes for archery. One of the reasons that Mongolians had so much success in conquering during the time of Chingis Khan came from their proficiency in horseback riding and archery (especially archery on horseback)!
