It might mean leaving behind what you're comfortable with. It might mean leaving home where your family and friends are. But they will still be there for you when you come back! The unknown can be really scary, but once you make the decision to embrace something new, you will realize that, rather than being something scary, this was something you can do and perhaps were always meant to do!
Be fearless in pursuit of your dreams. When I was your age, I had no idea that I would grow up to be a teacher, graduate college, or even travel the world. Despite this uncertainty about my future, I set goals and did what I could to make them work out. Don't let anything get in the way of your goals, however small or big they might be. I wholeheartedly believe that you can do whatever you want in the world, but you just need to make it happen, one step at a time. Whatever that goal is for you, I really hope you do what you can to make it happen.
It really is an amazing world out there. I hope you get to experience something that makes saying goodbye so hard. But remember, there is nearly always the opportunity to meet people and revisit places again. In German, the proper way of saying goodbye is Aufwiedersehen (auf-veeder-seyen), which directly translates to "until I see you again".
So, this isn't a goodbye, it's a 'see you later'.
