First, I visited the filming locations and then explored Hwaseong Fortress, which was built in the 18th century and is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In the afternoon, I walked through Hwaseong Haenggung palace and joined a crowd watching the Suwon Arts Festival. The traditional Korean music and dance performances were beautiful and culturally enriching. Last but not least, I enjoyed a light show that took place along the fortress.
This weekend, September 25 was Chuseok, the Korean harvest holiday. Experiencing this holiday in Busan was a unique experience. At first, I was disappointed by the cloudy and somewhat rainy weather. After all, Busan is known as a beach destination. However, the weather wasn’t as bad as I expected, and I was still able to visit all the places on my original schedule. Overall, it was a wonderful trip!
My favorite part was riding the cable car over the sea. I know it might sound scary, but the view was worth it!
