The Environment of South Korea

What challenges do people face living in this environment?:

Unfortunately, polluted air from China is carried in the wind that drifts over South Korea. The air becomes especially bad in the Spring months and many people have to wear masks to make sure they aren't inhaling too much of the bad air. Groups that are especially sensitive to the polluted air called "yellow dust" are the elderly, people with lung problems, and the children.

How have people been adapting to this environment?:

People have adapted to the environment by building homes in hills or close to mountains and by wearing masks when the air becomes polluted. There is also a push to make China start cleaning their air so that Koreans do not have to wear the masks so often.
