Saltwater Crocodiles in Malaysia!

Introduction:

Last week, I visited an island off of Malaysia called Langkawi. While visiting there, I went to a crocodile sanctuary!

What does this creature or plant look like?:

If you have not seen a crocodile in person, they look just like how you see them portrayed in images or movies! They are green and large, have long tales and scales! They can even weigh up to 1,700 pounds!!!

How did I feel when I saw it?:

I felt scared!!! Every time I have heard of crocodiles in stories, they use their sharp teeth to bite other animals and humans. They are very dangerous creatures that you definitely do not want to get too close to—they can swallow their prey whole! However, I fed some baby crocodiles a piece of chicken, and they were less scary! Even so, I don’t think that it’s wise to have one as a pet!

Where does it live?:

As I am in Malaysia, the crocodiles that I saw were saltwater crocodiles, meaning they live in saltwater across Southeast Asia. These types of crocodiles are bigger than their freshwater counterparts. Male saltwater crocodiles can grow up to 20 feet long!

How does it use its environment to survive?:

Saltwater crocodiles are very territorial, meaning that larger crocodiles get the better bodies of water.
