I was very excited to move to Delhi, but I worried about starting a whole new life. What would my house be like? What would my neighbors be like? Would I make new friends?
First, I met the family who owns my apartment. There is a dad, a mom, a son and a daughter. They all were very kind! They gave me tea and Indian sweets and invited me to lunch. Now, we are friends.
On my walks to school, I have met other people. I like the gate-guard and the grandfather living next door. The guard waves hello to me everyday. The grandfather invites me to talk and to drink tea.
I like doing things with the people I work with, too. We go to festivals and play soccer. Every Friday, we watch a movie.
I want to give back to my community. Next week, I will start volunteering at the hospital. I will be helping kids there feel better and smile!
