The rainy season has ended! This means that the weather was warm and sunny this week, with a few cloudy days here and there. I'm finally able to ride my motorcycle without worrying about getting soaked!
I was hanging up my clothes in my closet when a loud fluttering sound startled me. I looked down and saw a small praying mantis sitting on my backpack! At first I was too scared to even get close to it. Eventually however, I was able to hold it. After a day or two of keeping it in my room, I named it Jonny.
Although it's not actually part of nature, I saw a large temple halfway up the mountain Doi Suthep, called Wat Phalad (pronounced "pah-lahhd"). It was constructed on the side of the mountain, making it seem like it was engulfed, or covered by, nature, plants and trees. It was somewhat hidden within the forest and felt serene and peaceful.
