I had the privilege of interviewing Alison, an undergraduate student at la Universidad Nacional de Colombia. She is majoring in nursing, and we are classmates in German class. She shared amazing details about her life in Bogotá, her hobbies, her daily routine and her favorite foods! Join me in learning more about Colombian culture through my interview with one of this country's citizens!
For breakfast, Alison eats boiled eggs, bread and fruit, often an apple or a papaya. She often drinks milk with breakfast. For lunch, she eats rice, meat, potatoes, beans and a salad with lettuce, tomato and onion. For dinner, she often eats rice soup with bread and cookies. She will often drink aguapanela, which is a sweetened drink made with water and sugar cane juice.
Alison lives with her grandparents in their house, which is about 100 years old. The house has a beautiful garden. Their house sits above two locales, local storefronts on the street level. Downstairs, there is a local landromat that Alison and her family uses to wash their clothes. They have two bathrooms, one living room and two bedrooms.
