Travel News

How far did I travel this week?:

I traveled a total of 94.3 miles to get to Jerusalem!

How far have I traveled on this journey so far?:

I traveled two hours to get to Jerusalem. From there, we traveled about two hours to get to Bethlehem, Jericho, Masada, the Jordan River, Ein Gedi and the Dead Sea.

How did I get around this week?:

To get to Jerusalem, my friends and I took a bus to the train station. The train took us directly to Jerusalem. To get around in Jerusalem, we relied on buses and cabs. We headed back to Haifa by bus.

What was the most interesting place I visited this week?:

Visiting the Dead Sea was very interesting. Did you know that it's the lowest place in the world? It's called the Dead Sea because there are no animals or plants that live there due to how much salt is in the water. Because of all of the salt, it's very easy to float without trying! It's very relaxing and lots of fun.

Other Travel News from this week:

In Haifa, bus drivers will usually let you pay with coins, but in Jerusalem, they only accept a Rav Kav card. This card is loaded at an ATM machine, and it has to swiped every time you use public transportation in the city.
