James' Daily Life

Introduction:

Today, I interviewed a little kid that I met on my school's campus in Ireland. His name is James and he is 10 years old. This is what he had to say about his daily life!

What is your full name?:

My name is James O'Connor.

Where do you live? What is your house like?:

I live in Limerick, Ireland, just down the road from here in an estate. All the houses look alike and all my friends live just across the green in my same estate.

What is your family like?:

I live with my mam, my dad, my two sisters and my dog named Finn.

How do you get around?:

I mostly walk to school and home. If it's too far to walk, mam or dad will drive me and drop me off.

What types of clothing do you like to wear?:

It depends on the weather. I pretty much wear shorts and runners everyday, but if it's raining, I'll throw on a jacket.

What do you like to do in your free time?:

I love to go outside on the green in front of my house and play with my friends. We love to play rugby and practice hurling. I also play for my local GAA club.

What language(s) do you speak? How do you say "Hello" in your language?:

I speak English at home and with my friends, but at school we learn a bit of Gaelic, too. To say "Hello" we say "Dia Duit."
