Traveler Bio

Dia duit (hello in Gaeilge)! My name is Katie O’Sullivan, and I am 20 years old. I am currently in my third year at Colorado State University, where I study animal science on the pre-veterinary track, with the goal of attending veterinary school and becoming a veterinarian.

This spring, I will travel to Limerick, Ireland to continue my animal science studies abroad for a semester. Ireland holds special meaning for me, as both my mom and dad were born and raised there, and many of my aunts, uncles, and cousins still call it home. While abroad, I hope to gain a deeper understanding of the life they experienced growing up and to experience firsthand many of the stories they have shared with me over the years.

I am also looking forward to gaining a new, global perspective on animals and veterinary medicine—especially in a country known for its extensive farm animal population. Beyond academics, I am excited to travel, experience new cultures and traditions, and explore places across Europe.

This experience is especially meaningful to me because it allows me to connect with my family roots while also shaping my future career. I cannot wait to share this journey with you very soon!
