My friends and I traveled 3 hours to visit an IKEA store at a mall in a town called Casablanca. We were craving some Swedish Meatballs!
The furthest we've been so far is Marrakech, Morocco, a big city about 5 hours away from where I'm staying. In Arabic, cities are called "Medinas," and a lot of cities in Morocco have regular cities like you have at home, but also "Medinas," which are cities that are HUNDREDS of years old! A lot of the buildings in Medinas are made out of clay, and the markets are so packed!
What's also really cool is that at Medinas, you have to haggle the price. That means you work with the seller to agree on a price. I got a necklace that should've been 50 dirhams for just 30 dirhams! Imagine if we could do that at Target!
I walk to most places. I love how walkable Morocco is, and my school is only a 3-minute walk away! It's very nice for days when I wake up late!
It was definitely the IKEA! It was inside a giant mall that took us 6 hours to walk through. Plus, we explored the city of Casablanca once we were done shopping and saw so many cute cats and interesting people! We even saw a snake charmer!
