Though I don't know a lot about Buddhism, it has a strong presence in Vietnam. I look forward to visiting other pagodas and learning more about the religion.
I taught a full schedule of classes at the university this week. Teaching has been very rewarding as I've already seen notable improvements in my students' confidence and English skills. It's a privilege to connect with the Can Tho community and be grounded in one place, while still having many opportunities to travel and explore a new culture.
The weather has been hot and humid in Can Tho this week and pretty much every week since I arrived in Vietnam six weeks ago. At first, the humidity was difficult to handle, but I've adjusted to the temperature and now feel quite comfortable. However, I sweat a lot when I play tennis and soccer with my friends! It has rained in the afternoon three times this week, including a downpour a few days ago. My roommate, Andrew, and I got caught in the rainstorm on our motorbikes and got soaking wet. It was a fun experience though!
