Dobar dan! I can’t believe our journey together has already come to a close. It’s been such a joy sharing some Croatian history and culture with you all! I hope you’ve enjoyed getting a taste of Croatia’s beauty through the photos and videos I’ve shared as well.

The good news is that there are many possibilities to make journeys abroad of your own! One way is through study abroad programs in college. Typically, in your second, third or fourth year, you may be able to take classes at a college in another country. Many colleges in the U.S. offer study abroad programs and help students with moving to a new place for a few months. I think this is an excellent way to learn both in and outside of the classroom. One can learn so much from living in a place that is different from their hometown. As we have seen together, many aspects of life can be different from country to country, while certain things are very similar to life in New York. For example, the kind of food that is prepared, the kind of music that people listen to, how people get to work and school, etc.

Sometimes, it’s even possible to live abroad during high school.
