So, to get from my apartment to campus is an hour long bus ride! Riding my scooter is SO nice because it only takes me 20 minutes to get to campus, and it feels more refreshing because of the breeze!
The neighborhood I live in has a lot of elderly people living in it, so the bus is very helpful to them. Sitges is also very hilly, similar to San Francisco, if you’ve ever been there! Buses and electric bikes/scooters are super helpful to get up those hills. Most people have places to park their cars, like garages, driveways and space on the street, so it isn't as expensive to own a car as it id im America. In NYC, you have to park your car in a parking lot, which can get very expensive. Fun fact about me, I don't love driving. In fact, I'd rather walk. But I don't like walking in the heat! It is exhausting! So I enjoy having an electric scooter here! Everyone is more aware of how the environment is impacted by cars, and so many cars and the buses are electric, which is better for the environment!
