The weather in Dubai is very hot and humid! I don't mind the heat. Jordan is hot as well, but it is desert heat. Dubai is next to the water so it is very humid. I heard that the week I was in Dubai was actually the start of "fall weather". Can you believe that?
While on a safari in the desert, I saw many Arabian oryx, Arabian gazelle, a falcon and pengiuns (in the Mall of the Emirates!).
The coolest thing I saw in nature was an Arabian oryx. They are such magestic animals and have a beautiful light coat in contrast to the desert sand!
On my desert safari, I learned that the falcon is the national animal of the UAE. Falcons are important to the Arab culture and tradition, especially in hunting and for the Bedouins. Do you know who the Bedouins are?
