E-bikes - E-bikes look just like motorcycles, but they run on electricity, instead! You don't need a license to drive an E-bike, but watch out! You are not allowed to drive another friend around. If the police catch you, then you're in trouble!
5. Bicycles - In China, there are many colorful bikes on the streets that you can ride with the click of an app! These bicyls are a part of the shared biking program. You just have to scan a code, pay a small fee, and you are ready to go with one of the bicycles that are in different locations across the city!
6. Walking - No matter where you go, walking is always an option! Since I don’t have a car to drive around, I walk a lot more in China than I do back home. All my relatives aim to walk 10,000 steps a day!
At first, I felt rather lost. Growing up in California, I had a car that I always drove my friends around in. Taking public transportation seemed scary because I had to know where the metro was, which line to take, and which direction to go towards.
In addition, drivers in China are a little bit crazy! No one sticks to their own lane, and everyone seems to be a racecar driver. Since no one strictly follows the rules, you always have to be on the lookout in case another driver swerves in to your lane or tries to pass you on a dangerous stretch of road!
