Getting around in the suburbs

How did I feel when I tried this way of getting around?:

When I first arrived on campus, I really wanted to purchase my own e-bike. But I was scared the first time I tried riding one because I had stories of people bumping into trees or injuring themselves while on an e-bike. But after a few practices in an empty parking lot, I got the hang of it.

However, I never ended up buying my own e-bike. This is because I realized if I got an e-bike, I would become super lazy. But if I biked and walked, then I would be getting lots of exercise instead. So the types of transportation I use on a daily basis include bus, shared bikes, and my own two feet!

Is this way of getting around connected to the culture and environment, How?:

In general, people in China tend to rely on bikes and walking to get to places. Even my grandma prefers to bike in the mornings to buy groceries and has not adjusted to riding in cars.
