Getting Around Germany!

Everything in Germany was clean and ran (mostly) on time. I don't even need a car to get around, here. I especially enjoyed riding the tram through Mannheim. Something I learned recently about bikes is that the first bicycle was invented in Mannheim in 1817! I also noticed that people are very polite and quiet on trains. Most passengers speak softly and keep their phones on silent; and those on the platform wait for everyone to get off before boarding the train. These behaviors made the ride feel calm and respectful.

Is this way of getting around connected to the culture and environment, How?:

Yes, transportation in Germany is definitely connected to the culture and environment. People here value being on time and protecting the Earth. That’s why you see so many people riding bikes, walking or using electric trains and trams. Cities are built to make these types of transportation easy and safe, which helps keep the air clean and neighborhoods quiet.
