This week, we did a cooking class in Milan, where we learend how to make pasta from scratch! We made normal pasta with tomato sauce, and then we made ravioli stuffed with cheese and pepper that was tossed in a garlic sage butter. For dessert, we handmade tirimisu. Everything was absolutely delicious, and the pasta was very light and flavorful. The dessert with perfectly sweet, and it was extra yummy becuase we made it ourselves!
I have been trying to listen to new music, especially when I go on my daily walk by the river. I discovered two new bands that I really like! They are called Air and Kid Loco. I also listened to Doja Cat's new album. Later in the week, I found an Italian pop artist that I really like, named Frah Quintale. He makes groovy, upbeat pop songs, and it is a good way to practice my Italian!
My most fun activity was the cooking class, because I never knew how to make pasta from scratch before. Another activity tied for the most fun this week, which was when we went dancing on Wednesday night. In Pavia, everyone really like to go and hang out the most on Wednesday nights, so my friends and I also started to go and have fun on Wednesday night! At the dancing areas, they play a lot of American songs, so it is fun to sing along while dancing.
I read a book called Stones from the River. It is a very good story about a girl who is a dwarf in Germany and really wishes she could be taller, but then she realizes it is okay to look different and that she has to accept herself.
